What are the adaptive infinite levels?
These are the levels starting from 41, once you have finished the course. Instead of teaching new keys, they set a speed target calculated from your own record, which goes up a little bit with each level. They never end and always keep you right at the limit of your capabilities.
How they work
- Level 41 is the calibration: you pass it with 3 clean exercises (97% accuracy or more) at any speed. The average of those three sets your starting record.
- From 42 onwards: the target is your record plus an increment, which gets smaller as you approach the ceiling of 150 words per minute.
- To level up: the average of your last 3 clean exercises must reach the target. Exercises below 97% accuracy do not count, either for or against you: they don’t penalize you, they simply don’t add up.
- If you get stuck: after 12 clean exercises without succeeding, the target automatically eases up. There is a safety net so that no level becomes an impassable wall.
- The texts also grow: from about 150 characters to around 800 as you climb up.
Each level you pass gives you experience and gems, just like in the rest of the course.
