About Us
Our mission is to transform touch typing learning through artificial intelligence, empowering the next digital generation.
What is Kluppy?
Kluppy is an online touch-typing platform that teaches you to write on the keyboard without looking. The course advances key by key from the home row, and the exercises adapt with artificial intelligence to each person’s pace. It runs in the browser and as a mobile app, it is available in Spanish, Basque, Catalan and English, and it is used both by families at home and by schools in the classroom.
Kluppy was founded in 2015 and is based in the Basque Country. Since then it has worked with schools across Spain, using the classroom as its testing ground: the curriculum, the difficulty of each level and the practice texts come from what students actually struggle with, not from a template.

A course built on classroom data, not on a template
Kluppy follows your keyboard, not the other way around. It supports the US and UK layouts alongside the Spanish and Latin American ones, and it works out which one you have on your own machine. The on-screen keyboard, the finger guide, the spoken instructions and the order in which keys are introduced all follow from it — on a US keyboard the home row ends in a semicolon, and that is where your course starts.
What sets the curriculum apart is that it comes from measurement, not assumption. In an analysis of 3.16 million classroom keystrokes we found that the keys everyone expects to be hard often are not, and the ones nobody drills are where students actually lose time — accented vowels are mistyped up to 4.3 times more often than plain ones, while Ñ, the key most people point at, fails barely more than N (5.1% against 4.7%). Every level order in Kluppy comes from data like that, gathered in real classrooms since 2015.
How we teach
The path starts with finger placement on the home row and adds keys progressively, without jumps: each level introduces what is new on top of what is already automatic. Once the curriculum is finished, adaptive levels keep generating practice tuned to each person’s speed and specific mistakes, so the training never runs out. Duels, leagues and rankings exist for a practical reason: touch typing is learned through daily repetition, and daily repetition needs a reason to come back tomorrow.
The Story of Kluppy
Kluppy was born out of a simple classroom paradox: although students use computers daily, most lack fast, ergonomic typing skills. This leads to physical strain, slow task completion, and academic frustration.
We resolved to build a solution by combining proven pedagogical gamification with the power of generative AI, crafting a personal virtual tutor that modifies typing exercises in real time to match each student’s speed.
Our Values
Inclusive Learning
We design an intuitive, accessible portal for children starting at age 6, scaling learning speed curves to accommodate specific educational needs.
Absolute Privacy
We comply strictly with school privacy laws (GDPR). Children’s data is fully secured, anonymized, and encrypted on our European servers.
Pedagogical Innovation
We utilize Google Vertex AI (Gemini) ethically to generate contextual texts, keeping students excited and highly engaged.
