How does the Kluppy method for learning touch typing work?

Kluppy is a 40-level course that progressively introduces keys, starting with the two index fingers on the home row and moving all the way to the full keyboard with accent marks, symbols, and numbers. You don’t progress based on time or luck: you move forward when you’ve practiced enough and with precision.

How the path is built

• Level 0 — Hand placement. Before your first exercise, Kluppy teaches you how to place your hands using your computer’s camera. This is optional in the sense that you can also unlock Level 1 by taking a speed test, but it is the recommended starting point.
• Phase 1 (levels 1–8) — The foundations. The home row: f j, then d k, s l, a ñ, and the index fingers reaching for the adjacent keys. At the end, a consolidation level.
• Phase 2 (9–18) — The alphabet. Top row, bottom row, and the tricky letters, until you reach the full alphabet.
• Phase 3 (19–27) — Real grammar. Semicolons, the five accented vowels, question and exclamation marks, colons, and hyphens. This is where you start typing real texts.
• Phase 4 (28–35) — Speed and mastery. Long and demanding texts up to the certification level.
• Phase 5 (36–40) — Elite. The number row and the final levels.
• From level 41 onwards, the course continues with infinite levels: a speed challenge that automatically adjusts to your personal record.

The core idea: touch typing is muscle memory, and muscle memory is built through correct repetitions spaced out over time. That’s why Kluppy counts how many keystrokes you have made in each level and requires a minimum before letting you pass, instead of letting you rush through with a single lucky exercise.

In addition to the course, you have training series (speed, stamina, daily warm-up, your weakest letter combinations) and competitive modes to practice without straying from the path.
