How does Kluppy measure accuracy?

Accuracy is the percentage of correct keystrokes out of the total: if you type 200 keys and miss 6, your accuracy is 97%. Every keystroke is counted, not every word, and mistakes count even if you correct them later.

Details worth knowing

  • Speed only counts correct characters. A mistake does not penalize you twice: it simply does not add up.
  • In addition to accuracy and speed, Kluppy measures consistency: how steady your rhythm is between keys. A very irregular rhythm usually reveals that you are looking at the keyboard, even if the average speed is good.
  • Each level has its minimum accuracy, between 90% and 97% depending on what it teaches. Exam levels are the most demanding.
  • The exercise medal comes from accuracy: gold with 98% or more, silver with 94% or more, bronze below that.
