Does Kluppy correct hand placement?

Yes. Level 0 teaches you to put your hands on the keyboard step by step, using your own keyboard, and corrects you straight away if you make a mistake.

How it works

  1. F and J. You find the two keys with a little bump: they are your starting point.
  2. Each finger on its key. You place one finger at a time. Fingers are named by colour (blue, orange, yellow, green and purple, the same as the hands in the exercises), so you don’t need to know the name of each finger.
  3. Curved fingers. You curve your fingers as if holding a ball and press the space bar with your thumb.
  4. Your first word. You type a word without moving your hands from their place.

A voice reads each instruction and the keyboard drawing shows which finger to use and on which key. If you press a different key, it tells you which one you pressed and which way the right one is. If you haven’t found it after 10 seconds, it gives you a hint and you can skip that step. It takes about 2 minutes.

If you already know how to place your hands, press “I already know how”: you type one word and the level is done.

The colour mirror (optional). At the end, if you like, you can turn on the camera and see your hands with each finger painted in its colour, with four small challenges. It is an extra: the whole level works without a camera. About your privacy: the image analysis happens inside your browser. Neither the video nor the photos leave your computer or are saved anywhere; the only thing recorded is that you completed the level.

You can repeat level 0 whenever you want to go over your posture. In school, after-school or partner accounts, level 1 opens when you finish level 0 or take a speed test.
