What is the speed certificate and how do I get it?
It is a certificate of your real typing speed, issued by Kluppy and backed by an exam timed and graded on our servers. You can show it to an employer or add it to your resume and LinkedIn. It is not an official qualification: each employer decides whether to accept it, and some (for example, certain government agencies) require their own supervised test. You get it by taking the exam at play.kluppy.com/velocidad.
How it works, in short
- You buy the exam at
play.kluppy.com/velocidad($19.99 plus applicable taxes from the English page). - You type 3 texts in a single session, in the language you choose.
- Your net speed and accuracy are measured on the server, from what you typed.
- Your certificate is issued with your exact number and the level you reached. If you took the exam in English, the certificate is in English.
It is not a pass or fail: whatever speed you have is certified. If you reach the minimums, you also get a named level.
| Level | Net keystrokes per minute | ≈ Words per minute | Accuracy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter speed | 150 | 30 | 95% |
| Competent speed | 200 | 40 | 95% |
| Advanced speed | 250 | 50 | 96% |
| Professional speed | 300 | 60 | 97% |
| Expert speed | 350 | 70 | 97% |
You don’t need to be a Kluppy user to get certified: anyone can take the exam.
