How to master touch typing without looking at the keyboard
Touch typing is the practice of writing text using muscle memory, completely blind. It is the ultimate tool to skyrocket your productivity and prevent neck or hand strain.
1. Build a Home Row Foundation
The home row keys are the starting layout (ASDF JKL;). Your hands must rest here. The F and J keys have small raised bumps to help you center your fingers without glancing down.
2. Finger Assignment
Do not cross over hands or use index fingers for everything. Allocate specific keys to specific fingers to build strong muscle memory.
